Reissue a pass certificate for The Specified Skills Evaluation Exam taken outside of Japan country
Certificates issued through the "JAC Members" app can be reissued only once for each category.
For example, a person who passes the exam in the fields of "civil engineering" and "architecture" can reissue the certificate once in each of the fields of "civil engineering" and "architecture".
*If you have a certificate of acceptance that is awaiting issuance at this time, you will not be able to issue the next certificate until the certificate is issued or rejected.

Steps for reissuing a certificate
This will only be applicable in cases of unavoidable reasons, such as losing your certificate due to a natural disaster.
- Display the screen for reissuing the certificate
- Enter your information
- Check the details and apply
- The reissue application has been completed.
- Receive your certificate
Step 1.
Display the screen for reissuing the certificate
1-1. Display the "Application for Certificate of Passing Overseas Exam" screen
Tap [Overseas Exam Certificate] from the menu at the bottom of the home screen.
The "Apply for Certificate of Passing Overseas Exam" screen will open.
What should I do if I am unable to submit an application and a dialog box appears stating "You cannot submit a new application because you have already applied for the following."?
1-2. Display the certificate reissue screen
Click here if you would like to have the pass certificate reissued.
The screen for reissuing the certificate will open.
Step 2.
Enter your information
2-1. Enter the information about the exam you passed
Please enter the information for the exam you passed, such as the "Confirmation Letter" issued by Prometric.
*A certificate can only be reissued once for the same exam area.
Please enter the ID issued by Prometric.
Example: prm123456
Please enter your exam number.
Example: JP99000001
Please enter in hiragana, katakana, or the alphabet.
Example: Indonesia
Select the date on the calendar that you would like to take the exam.
⑤ Exam categoryPlease select the category of exam you have passed.
2-2. Take a photo of your face
"Take a photo of your face"
Tap. An explanation of what you need to be careful of will be displayed. Read the explanation carefully. Tap the [Start shooting] button to take a photo.
*If there are any imperfections in the photo, such as your mouth being open or there being something in the background, your application will not be accepted. If you are unsure, please take a new photo.

- ③ Check the warnings and images, then tap "Next."

- ⑤ Tap "Start shooting".
- ⑥ Move your smartphone so that your face is within the frame to perform biometric authentication.
- ⑦ Tap the button to take a photo of your face.
- ⑧ Check the photograph of your face.

⑤ Tap "Start shooting".

⑧ Check the photograph of your face.
On the "Confirm Face Photo" screen, check that the photo is clear. If it is clear, check each item and tap the [OK] button.

2-3. Enter the information about the exam you passed
Select the date on which you received your first certificate.
If you don't know the exact date, enter an approximation.
Example: If you receive your certificate around July 2023
→Select "2023/07/01".
Please enter the reason why you would like your certificate reissued.
2-4. Display the confirmation screen
Tap [Next] to display the confirmation screen.
Step 3.
Check the details and apply
3-1. Check the displayed details and apply
Scroll through the confirmation screen to verify your details.
If the details are correct, tap [Apply].
If you want to change the content, tap [Back].
If your application is successful, you will be returned to the home screen.

Step 4.
The reissue application has been completed.
4-1. Confirm the message that your application for certificate issuance has been accepted
Once your application for a certificate of completion has been successfully accepted, you will receive a message in the app's message list informing you that your application for a reissue of your certificate of completion has been accepted.
This completes the application for reissue of the certificate.
Please wait a while until your certificate is issued.
(For example, if you have previously had a civil engineering exam certificate reissued, you cannot have a civil engineering exam certificate reissued.)
Step 5.
Receive your certificate
5-1. Certificate is reissued
Once your certificate has been issued, you will receive a message in the app's message list informing you that your certificate has been issued.
Open the message and download the certificate.
